New York, NY, April 8, 2014 - On Friday, April 4, 2014, reggae and dancehall artist Mr. Vegas stopped by Friday evening as the featured guest in The Hip Hop Improv Show - TAKE IT PERSONAL presented by Hot 97's Cipha Sounds and Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB), the top improv theatre and school in NYC. Improvisers from Cipha Sounds' team A Tribe Called YES [Lydia Hensler, Christian Cappazoli, Abra tabak, Sean Diston, Natasha Rothwell, and Cipha Sounds] whom reenacted stories originally told by Mr. Vegas.
During the set, Mr. Vegas shared a story about his first attempt to lose his virginity that was to die for as well as his first trip to America."Hip Hop Improv is not just for rappers. Tonight we had our first reggae artist Mr. Vegas and his stories dun di place! It doesn't matter where you come from. Great stories are universal," Said Cipha Sounds.
Music was provided by DJ Juanyto of Sirius XM. Special guests included Roland Hyde (Boomshots/Complex), Yessica G (VH1), Willy Dope (Par-City), and more. TAKE IT PERSONAL will continue every Friday at the legendary UCB Theater.
